Moroccan citizen arrested for drug dealing – Trieste Police Headquarters

In compliance with the rights of the person under investigation and the presumption of innocence, as far as is currently known, subject to further investigation and pending judgement, the following is communicated:

On the night of May 9th, the State Police of Trieste arrested a Moroccan citizen, born in 2001 and homeless in Trieste, in via Valdirivo for the crime of drug trafficking and violation of the legislation on foreigners.

Specifically, the Flying Squad of the Trieste Police Headquarters, passing through via Valdirivo, noticed three boys walking along the pavement and who, upon seeing the service car, attempted to hide near the building scaffolding near number 8. The operators, suspicious , they therefore decided to stop them and proceed with their identification. During these phases one of them dropped a pack of cigarettes from his trouser pocket and then kicked it under the steering wheel itself.

The gesture did not go unnoticed by the officers who, upon recovering it, found inside and packaged in 19 doses ready for dealing, 10.64 grams of narcotic substance which the analyzes revealed to be cocaine, which was seized.

The subject was then subjected to a search and photographed, together with the other two young men who were also Moroccan without a fixed abode in the city, then arrested in flagrante delicto and transferred to the “Ernesto Mari” prison in Trieste at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.

The other two foreigners were reported in a state of freedom for violation of the legislation on foreigners, as they did not have identification documents with them.
