The countdown for the Delta Air Lines flight from Naples to New York-JFK has begun: from May 25th the carrier will launch its new daily non-stop connection. In addition to offering direct service to New York, the flight will also give passengers the option to continue their journey with connecting connections from Delta’s JFK hub to more than 70 destinations across North America.
Commenting on the new flight, Matteo Curcio, Delta senior vice president for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India said that «after Rome, Milan and Venice, Naples will be the fourth Italian city served by Delta from the United States. The Neapolitan city, with the Amalfi Coast, is a highly sought after destination in the US market, and we are convinced that our service will benefit the region’s economy with regards to incoming tourism, as well as offering greater connectivity from Naples to the United States United than any other carrier.”
This summer, Delta will increase the offer of flights from Italy to the United States by 17% year on year, confirming the US carrier’s leadership in terms of connections between Italy and the USA. In 2023, Delta carried more than one million passengers between the two countries. «We are enthusiastic – the words of Roberto Barbieri, CEO of Gesac – to have reactivated, thanks to Delta, the daily Naples-New York flight and proud of the enormous work done to increase the connectivity of the Neapolitan airport. The new route responds to a strategic vision that favors a quality network, made up of 116 destinations, of which 20 hubs from which, thanks to the capillarity of connections, it is possible to reach, with a single transit, any part of the world”. Delta will operate the new flight to Naples using a 211-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft, featuring Delta One lie-flat, Delta premium select, Delta comfort+ and Main cabin classes of service.
