CIVITAVECCHIA – «There is no future if opportunities are not created today and this must be our guiding star, the commitment to those who will come after us: our children and our young people».
The center-right mayoral candidate Massimiliano Grasso said this at the event in which the 120 candidates from the lists of Fratelli d’Italia, Lega, Civitavecchia 2030, La Svolta and Lista Grasso mayor were presented. Five lists that filled the Pucci hall in the municipality of Civitavecchia to launch the coalition’s electoral campaign in all respects. The vice-president of the Lazio Region Roberta Angelilli, the provincial coordinator of the League Angelo Valeriani, the FdI regional councilor Emanuela Mari, the deputy coordinator of the Rome League Maurizio Politi, the FdI deputy Mauro Rotelli, the president of the Rome provincial federation of Brothers of Italy Senator Marco Silvestroni and the FdI group leader in the Chamber of Deputies Tommaso Foti rallied around the candidate with words of esteem and affection, praising his ability to plan, conceive and think about the future while remaining down to earth, a concreteness that Civitavecchia is needed in a pivotal moment like the one the city is experiencing and is preparing to experience.
Because, as Grasso said, «development must be implemented in 360 degrees, with the valorisation of our beauties and therefore culture and tourism. We must also achieve the record of hospitality, be ready for the 3.5 million cruise passengers expected.” Spa, completion of Civitavecchia-Orte and other fundamental issues to relaunch the city as a “renewables hub” and the first “logistics hub in central Italy”. Not dreams but concrete facts made up of «funds that exist and tenders ready to start» all with a view to growth and development so that we can «restore to everyone the pride of being Civitavecchiesi».
