The Municipal Administration and the Port Authority met this morning at Palazzo di Città with the holders of state maritime concessions and the owners of activities linked to bathing in relation to the issuing of the 2024 bathing ordinance.

The meeting was attended by the commander of the Port Authority of Barletta, Antonino Indelicato, the commander of the Local Maritime Office of Trani, Luca Capasso, the manager of the State Property and Environment Urban Planning Area of the Municipality of Trani, Andrea Ricchiuti, and the officials of the Municipal State Property office.

The meeting was aimed at providing more specific information regarding the innovations included in the new regional seaside ordinance, which establishes the guidelines for the exercise of tourist-recreational activities on state-owned maritime property and on the territorial sea areas of the Region.

The ordinance sets the start of the bathing season on Saturday 1 June until the second week of September. This time frame defines the period during which tourist and recreational facilities can operate on the beaches of Puglia, offering services and entertainment to visitors.

On the occasion of the meeting, the Administration renewed the invitation for a correct presentation of administrative practices and compliance with the regional ordinance, demonstrating full availability for dialogue. Furthermore, from the perspective of good administrative practices, the Port Authority has invited beach resorts to report any critical issues or particular situations that may be addressed in the seaside safety ordinance soon to be issued by the Port Authority. The participants expressed their satisfaction with the organization of the meeting which allowed them to dispel doubts and formulate proposals to the two Administrations involved.
