The meeting entitled “From Paul VI to Francis, technology and heart for fully human communication” is scheduled for Friday 17 May, at 5.30 pm in the hall of the archbishop’s palace of Lucca, to question how much communication has changed of the Church in recent decades, and of the centrality of the Vatican Council. The event, organized by the diocese of Lucca together with Toscana Oggi and Ucsi-Italian Catholic Press Union of Tuscany, will see the introduction and greetings of the bishop Msgr. Paolo Giulietti, followed by the presentation of the book “Dal Concilio al web. Vatican communication and the turning point of the reform” (Libreria Editrice Vaticana, 2023), by Angelo Scelzo, journalist of L’Osservatore Romano, Vatican Press Office and Pontifical Council for Social Communications. Moderator of the meeting Domenico Mugnaini, director of Toscana Oggi, who will also direct the connection with the Jesuit Fr. Federico Lombardi director of the Vatican Press Office from 2006 to 2016, under the pontificates of Benedict XVI and Francis.
