Stabbed with a box cutter in front of a bar in Olbia, eight years in prison

A worker of Albanian citizenship, Kevi Doda, was found responsible for an episode that occurred in 2018 in front of a bar in Olbia in the presence of numerous witnesses, and was sentenced to eight years in prison.

The sentence is by the preliminary judge of the Tempio Court, Marco Contu, and closes a trial celebrated with the abbreviated procedure. According to prosecutor Noemi Mancini, the 45-year-old man stabbed a fellow countryman in the throat, in front of several terrified people, during a violent argument. To hit the victim, Kevi Doda used a very sharp cutter.

The judge fully accepted the prosecutor’s argument. The Albanian would have had an argument with colleagues on the construction site where he worked (in the Arzachenese hamlet of Abbiadori). Once he returned to Olbia, the worker stabbed his compatriot who had reproached him, together with other workers, for showing up on the construction site drunk. Kevi Doda was arrested in Rudalza, together with another person after a brief escape attempt. The consequences for the victim were not serious. An appeal by the defender, the lawyer Aurora Masu, is almost certain.
