The words of Alessandro Buongiorno to SportMediaset, between Toro and the future
This afternoon, Alessandro Buongiorno spoke to SportMediaset’s microphones live on Instagram. The defender and vice-captain of Torino answered some questions that touched on many topics, from the honor of representing the Granata club on and off the pitch to future ambitions. Below are his words.

Buongiorno began by talking about the emotions linked to Turin: “For me it is a great emotion and a great honor to know that I can represent Torino. It fills me with pride, it drives me to give my all every time I step onto the pitch and play; but even off the pitch it is a pride to represent Toro.” Complimented on the Granata season which is about to end, Buongiorno revealed which striker is the most difficult to mark in Serie A: “Lukaku. It has a very imposing physical structure and must be marked differently. I try to avoid direct physical contact, instead focusing more on anticipating and reading the game.” And on the defenders who inspire him: “I often watched videos of Nesta and Maldini when I was little, I tried to imitate them and I wanted to try to be a bit like them. Another player I follow for his personality on the pitch is Sergio Ramos. I have the three of them as a reference.”.

Go to the European Championship in June, play it and who knows, maybe win it… – said Buongiorno, who then also revealed other personal goals to pursue in the long term – More generally, if I look ahead, the dream is to win the Champions League or the World Cup, it’s something that every child dreams of since they were little.”.
