The latest legacy of the Tosi Council’s mandate, the ‘2024 asphalt and pavement programme’ approved by the outgoing Administration effectively doubles the 900 thousand euros invested in 2023 on the extraordinary maintenance of municipal roads. And it allocates 1.6 million euros, which will be allocated to around twenty, 22 to be precise, of sites already identified as priorities in terms of maintenance needs.

The document, a planning tool already adopted in previous years, defines the order of extraordinary maintenance interventions on the basis of an objective indicator, called ‘state of degradation’, determining, at the same time, also the estimate of the related cost and the intervention times and concerns not only asphalts and pavements, but also courtyard areas and protected pedestrian crossings. Such a substantial investment should, in the intentions of the outgoing council, deliver to the city, by the end of 2024, a significantly improved road context, so as to be able to launch, between 2025 and 2026, a maintenance plan which, in rotation, allows for interventions less radical than those that the municipal administration of Fiorano faced between 2023 and 2024, when the streets of Fiorano presented the city with a bill amounting, in fact, to 2.5 million euros.
