She was transferred to Brescia the investigation for waste trafficking which involves Aldo Spinelli, but as legal representative of Spinelli srl. This was decided by the judge for the preliminary hearing who accepted the exception of territorial incompetence. Spinelli has been under house arrest since last weekcorruption investigation which also involved the president of the Liguria Region Giovanni Toti and for this reason he did not appear at the hearing. By declaring territorial incompetence, the judge also nuanced the position of the entrepreneur’s company.
Special waste to Turkey
The matter concerns an investigation into the trafficking of non-hazardous special waste to Turkey via Genoa. The investigation is coordinated by the deputies of the Genoese DDA Federico Manotti and Andrea Ranalli. They would have been three hundred and fifty tons moved in containers in sixteen trips. The investigators had discovered that from the accompanying forms the substances transported appeared to be scraps of plastic material, easier to manage and dispose of but, above all, cheaper to treat.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, they were behind the traffic four companies and eight people. Among the companies involved was Spinelli srl, which with the sixteen container transfers to the Genoa port would have violated the regulations regarding waste transport. The charges, for various reasons, are of organized activities for the illicit trafficking of waste, ideological falsehood in a public document with the environmental aggravating circumstance, transport of waste in violation of regulations and two administrative offenses. The facts date back to January 2020.
