Terni, ready to welcome the 2024 Gold National Fencing Championships
Next weekend, from 17 to 19 May, the PalaTennistavolo “Aldo De Santis” in Terni will become the hub of action for fencing lovers from all over Italy. In fact, it will be the venue for the 2024 edition of the National Gold Championship dedicated to the Absolute category, a leading event in the panorama of Italian fencing.
Expertly organized by the Terni Fencing Club, the championship sees an impressive participation of 700 athletes, ready to compete to win the last passes available for the Italian Absolute Championships in Cagliari 2024.
The competition will be divided into various tests, with the top 4 classified in foil and sabre, and the top 8 in épée, having the opportunity to qualify for the next stage.
The program includes a series of exciting races that will take place throughout the weekend. It begins on Friday 17 May with the men’s épée, followed by the women’s épée and foil events on Saturday 18th, and concludes on Sunday 19th with the men’s and women’s foil and saber competitions.
All the final stages of the competitions will be broadcast live on the Federscherma TV1 YouTube channel and on the Facebook profile of the Italian Fencing Federation, allowing fans to closely follow the athletes’ performances.
