Yesterday afternoon, May 15th, the operations room of the Avellino Fire Brigade received a request for help from a little girl from Lioni, who, while out for a walk with her dog, saw the latter fall into the water of the Ofanto river and no longer be able to go back up.

That almost desperate cry for help from the girl saw the immediate dispatch of the team from the Lioni detachment, which recovered the puppy and returned it to the young woman. Her tears of joy at having hugged the dog again repaid the firefighters who often work facing a thousand sacrifices.
