TREVISO, THE FUTURE OF PAULICAP: “I WOULD LIKE TO STAY HERE, I FELT REALLY GOOD”

Interviewed by Ubaldo Saini on the “Tribuna di Treviso”, Pauly Paulicap gave an opinion on his year in blue and white: “If I had to define it in one word I would say that it was a difficult season. The Italian championship is of a high level, decidedly higher than the Cypriot one. There are expert players, others with important physicality, and it was really nice to challenge so many champions. I learned a lot of lessons over the course of the season.”

What was your best match on a personal level? “The victory against Dolomiti Energia Trentino, when I grabbed 19 rebounds. I’ve had good feelings since pre-season, but something special happened in that match.”

There is a particular bond with the Treviso fans: “There is crazy support here, and even when things were bad, they were always there, both at home and away. Their warmth is something unique. They often also waited for us in the Palaverde car park when we left to go home, even just for a selfie or an autograph. Others encouraged us, patted us on the back, dedicated chants to us, honked their horns when they recognized us in the car. Yes, Treviso is truly unique”.

What are the plans for the future of Paulicap? “Now I’ve given myself a week’s rest and I’ve taken advantage of it to travel around Europe. Then I will return to Italy to collect my luggage before returning to the USA. I haven’t spoken to my agent about it yet, we will evaluate the proposals that arrive together. I would certainly like to stay in Treviso, I had a really good time.”
