The first day of the “Lucca in Mente” Festival, an event conceived and promoted by the BRF ONLUS Foundation inaugurated by the musician and writer Enrico Ruggeri, is underway

A huge crowd with hundreds of people for the first day of the “Lucca in Mente” Festival which was inaugurated by the musician and writer Enrico Ruggeri. Attending the event, conceived and promoted by the BRF ONLUS Foundation with the artistic direction of the writer Flavia Piccinni and the journalist Carmine Gazzanni, were the mayor Mario Pardini, the Councilor for Culture Mia Pisano, as well as Maria Pia Mencacci of the Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, one of the sponsors of the initiative, and the Medical Association.

During the event the musician and writer, Enrico Ruggeri, presented his book, just released in bookstores, “40 lives (without stopping me)” published by La Nave di Teseo. A book that recounts his professional, multifaceted and original career. An incredible journey, the one witnessed by many present at the event, which started from Ruggeri’s first albums and the birth of “Decibel”, up to the singer-songwriter’s artistic maturity. The presentation, during which Ruggeri told incredible anecdotes (one above all, how one of the greatest successes of Italian songwriting was born as Winter sea), then ended with a crowd of fans queuing for the canonical signing.

Before the presentation, the mayor Mario Pardini also spoke and underlined how the idea of ​​the municipal administration is to “make the festival Lucca in Mind stable over the years, on the other hand the merit of the Foundation is to have brought prominent personalities from the Italian scene here to Lucca”. This was echoed by councilor Mia Pisano who immediately believed in the cultural project of the BRF Foundation so much so that she, she announced, “we will certainly continue the two-year agreement signed with the Foundation for Lucca in Mind”. Along the same lines, Maria Pia Mencacci of the Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca Foundation, which has always been the sponsor of the event: “We are really happy to be able to contribute to the realization of these events, which contribute to the development of well-being and good living in our city”.

The event will continue TOMORROW TUESDAY 14 MAY with an afternoon of studies dedicated to Artificial Intelligence with experts from the University of Pisa and the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. Specifically, the meetings which will begin at 5pm again in the splendid setting of Villa Bottini will be: “Applications of artificial intelligence to sleep medicine” with the physiologist Ugo Faraguna of the University of Pisa, at 6pm “Artificial intelligence, robotics and neurosciences: sense of touch and artificial touch” with Calogero Oddo, bioengineer from the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, at 7.00 pm “Neurosciences and quantum physics” with Prof. Marilù Chiofalo, physicist from the University of Pisa.

For Wednesday 15 May the events are all sold out, and will see the participation of Folco Terzani, writer and son of the unforgettable journalist Tiziano, and the host of Reports Siegfried Ranucci. At the end of this last meeting, the president of the BRF Foundation will present the journalist with an award for his commitment to reporting on current events and contemporary society.
