Money for the redevelopment of the war memorial in Borgo Faiti: Fare Latina’s satisfaction

LATINA – “I welcome with great satisfaction the news of the restyling of the monument to the fallen of all the wars of Borgo Faiti, a piece of history of our city, now left in a state of abandonment for years. For us, the protection of the villages and their heritage have always been central elements and this step taken by the municipal administration makes us particularly happy”. The speaker is Roberto Stabellini, provincial coordinator of the Fare movement.

Yesterday, in fact, the feasibility study which will provide for the restoration of the monument, which will be financed from the municipal budget, was approved by the municipal council.

A great applause from us goes to the mayor Matilde Celentano and to the work carried out by the councilor Annalisa Muzio – continues Stabellini – for having carried out safeguard policies towards places of historical importance for the whole city”. Fare Latina has always fought to give the right importance and recognition to the villages, which represent the custodians of Latina’s history.

The next step will be to acquire the Monument as municipal heritage in order to then start with the actual restyling work. An operation possible thanks to the delegation by the Region to the Municipality of Latina regarding urban and building planning, the sector of competence of councilor Muzio.

For us this is a step in the right direction – declares Christian Tuzi, contact person for the movement’s villages department – regarding the redevelopment and decoration of all the areas left in a state of abandonment, such as the one located in Piazza San Paolo Apostolo in Borgo Faiti. We will continue to carry out our policy which brings life in the villages to the center of attention, pushing for the possible adoption of collaboration agreements, to further increase citizens’ sense of trust in good politics.”, concludes Tuzi.
