The polling stations in the city will remain open on Saturday 8 June, from 3.00 pm to 11.00 pm, and on Sunday 9 June, from 7.00 am to 11.00 pm. There are 54,079 people entitled to vote, of which 25,076 men and 29,003 women. There are 230 citizens voting for the first time and 62 students who will vote away from home.

There will be 82 polling stations spread across the city (the complete list is attached). The Municipality’s electoral office has communicated, already in recent days, the relocation of some polling stations approved by the District Electoral Commission. In particular, polling stations no. 7, 8 and 9 were transferred from the building of the former elementary school of Donnici Inferiore, “Suor Elena Aiello” (Provincial road no. 84) to the building in Bivio Donnici, Provincial road 241 (ex SS19) which is part of the Cosenza 1 Zumbini Comprehensive Institute, currently used as an elementary and middle school. Another move concerned polling stations no. 29, 30 and 45 from the site of the former school in via Francesco Principe, formerly via Asmara, to the site of the nursery school in Via L. Picciotto, formerly via Somalia, which is also part of the Istituto Comprensivo Cosenza 1 Zumbini.

Extraordinary opening of the electoral office

In order to guarantee resident citizens the exercise of their right to vote, on voting days, both Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June, the extraordinary opening of the demographic services counters in Piazza Mancini, 33 (“I Due” Complex) will be ensured. rivers”) both for the issuing of electoral cards and for the issuing of identity cards.

To issue voter ID cards, the counters will observe the following opening hours on the days indicated:

Saturday 8 June: from 8.00 to 23.00;

Sunday 9 June: from 7.00 to 23.00.

Please also remember that in order to issue the electoral card you will need to present yourself with a valid identity document.

The counters for issuing identity cards will be active according to the following times:

Saturday 8 June: continuous hours from 8.00 to 23.00;

Sunday 9 June: from 7.00 to 23.00.

The Municipality’s Electoral Office also reminds you that to issue an identity card you will need to present yourself with the following documentation:

Expired or expiring identity card, or report (in original) of theft or loss of the identity card, presented to the competent authorities, or damaged identity card. The health card/tax code and a photograph are also required.

Free transport service to the polling station

On the two days dedicated to voting (Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June) the Municipal Administration, in order to encourage people with disabilities or reduced mobility to vote, has set up a free transport service to the polling stations. The transport will be carried out by the “Amicizia e Solidarietà Presilana” cooperative on Saturday 8 June, from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm, and Sunday 9 June from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and from 4.30 pm at 8.00 pm. To book the service it is necessary to contact Dr. Assunta Paletta by calling 351-7494688, Saturday 8 June, from 8.00 to 12.30 and Sunday 9 June, from 9.00 to 17.00.
