New adventure park near the Plaia di Catania. It will be an adventure park also accessible to children with disabilities.
TO Cataniaalong the coast of Plaiaday June 29th at 5.00 pm, the new one will be inaugurated inclusive adventure park: “Beteya“. Located at the Don Bosco Colony (Viale Presidente Kennedy 55), the park was created thanks to Tourability, a project financed by the Department of Family, Social Policies and Labor of the Sicilian Region and by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. The objective is to expand the offer of accessible tourism in Sicily.
A park will be completely immersed in the trees dedicated to children, with six immersed routes in nature which include bridges, pulleys and walkways created between the trees. Some routes are accessible by wheelchair, and there is also a climbing area. The park is located a few steps from the sea and is designed to offer a fun, safe and stimulating experience, inclusive for everyone, including people with disabilities.
The Beteyà park joins the ten beaches already selected between Catania and Palermo by the Tourability project, aimed at developing accessible tourist destinationsthe. Reception services, support and creative workshops organized by Spazio 47 will be activated at the various accessible locations. Furthermore, they are in the process of start of internships formative coordinated by CPIA Catania 2, involving 30 people with disabilities to encourage their job placement, of which 15 in Catania and 15 in Palermo in the Plaia and Mondello beaches, as well as other facilities participating in inclusion activities.
