Starting from Monday 1st July, until Sunday 15th September, all children aged between 14 and 29 years old, resident in the municipalities of Lazio and registered with the LAZIO YOUth CARD, will be able to travel for free on Cotral and Trenitalia buses in second class within the borders of the Lazio region.
With the resolution approved by the Lazio Regional Council on the proposal of the Councilor for Mobility and Transport, Fabrizio Ghera, in agreement with the Councilor for Culture, Equal Opportunities and Youth and Family Policies, Simona Baldassarre, the initiative “Lazio in tour gratis 2024” returns, which this year is ahead of last season, coming into force as early as Monday 1 July 2024.
«This year the initiative starts 20 days ahead of 2023 – declare councilors Ghera and Baldassarre – a sign of great attention that we want to give to our children to encourage them to use public transport by rail and road and to give them the opportunity to discover all the beauties of our region without spending money on travel.”
Once activated, “Lazio in Tour Gratis” will give young people between the ages of 14 and 29 the opportunity to use the free transport service for 30 consecutive days. This formula, we remind you that it is aimed at holders of the LAZIO YOUth CARD, is part of the initiatives of the Lazio Region to encourage the use of regional public transport and to promote and enhance the territory through the use of regional local public transport services on the road and on the railway in second class, managed respectively by Cotral SpA and Trenitalia SpA within the territorial borders.
