Ragatzu bids farewell to Olbia: «Thanks to everyone, I will always carry you in my heart»

The professional transfer market kicks off today. Thus, Daniele Ragatzu was able to sign the contract with Pontedera, officially saying goodbye to Olbia after 7 seasons, 90 goals and 50 assists in the white shirt.

After having signed the agreement with the Tuscan club, with which he will face the next Serie C championship coached by Alessandro Agostini, teammate at the time of Cagliari, the Quartese striker, born in 1991, released a letter full of thanks. Towards the coaches, “with whom I had the opportunity to collaborate, from Bernardo Mereu to Filippi, Canzi, Occhiuzzi and Castricato”, we read, passing through my teammates, “my adventure companions, La Rosa, Pisano, Biancu , Ladinetti, Bianchimano and Occhioni, for having supported and put up with me”, and the employees of Olbia Calcio, “who have never had the visibility that we footballers always had: their contribution meant that certain goals could all be achieved together” .

Therefore, the Curva Mare, “true fans that I will always carry in my heart”, and even the press, “who always underlined my performances but at the same time – in the dark moments – encouraged me to give the best of myself”, explains Ragatzu.

“I have often thought about this step of mine, but at the age of 33, having taken note of the climate of uncertainty that reigns in society, I decided to find a place in a club that can allow me to play for a few more years at certain levels. I do it for my daughter Vittoria and for my wife Nina”, we then read about the reasons.

Finally, goodbye: “In Olbia – concludes Ragatzu – I would like to settle down when the time comes to hang up my classic shoes”. Meanwhile, Olbia has lost a flag and a player who would have made much more than a difference in Serie D.
