Weather alert in Milan and Lombardy, risk of rain and thunderstorms from the afternoon of June 2nd

Starting from the second half of today, Sunday 2 June, the yellow warning for the risk of thunderstorms is active in Milan and in much of Lombardy. Rain is also expected for tomorrow, Monday 3 June.

There is yellow alert due to bad weather in Milan and much of Lombardy for the second part of today, Sunday 2 June, and for the first hours of 3 June. The Civil Protection communicated this through its bulletin, explaining that these new conditions of instability are due in particular to the transit of a trough with associated colder air at high altitude. Precipitation, which in some cases they could also take on a stormy characterbegan to fall in the early hours of the afternoon and will tend to lose intensity during the night hours.

In particular, the first areas affected only those included on the pre-Alpine belt and Apennines, but then the rains will extend throughout the central and southern area of ​​Lombardy, becoming increasingly intense. As mentioned, thunderstorms are expected, but it is the probability of intense phenomena is low and the wind will be mostly weak.

Also in the night between today and tomorrow, Monday 3 June, there will be showers and thunderstorms, with a greater probability on the central-eastern lowland belt. A lull is expected in the morning, while in the afternoon new storms will hit especially the mountains central-eastern pre-Alpine reliefs.

As per the Civil Protection bulletin, the following areas of the region have been indicated with yellow warning for thunderstorms from 2pm on 2 June to midnight on 3 June: Orobie Bergamasche, Lakes and Eastern Prealps, Milan Plumbing HubCentral Plain, Eastern High Plain, Western Low Plain, Central-Western Low Plain, Central-Eastern and Eastern, Pavia Apennines.
