L’AQUILA – The parking rates at Porta Leoni in L’Aquila are changing. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday 15 May, a new system will be applied, proportional and divided into fractions of hours, for the first paid parking area in the city.
After the first free half hour, a deferred rate of €1 every 30 minutes will be applied. This new system will allow parking for up to 59 minutes at a cost of €1, up to an hour and 29 minutes at a cost of €2, up to an hour and 59 minutes at a cost of €3 and so on.
Please also remember that parking spaces remain free every day from 8pm to 8am the following day and on holidays.
Following the opening to the public last October, the experimental phase for the evaluation of costs borne by users ended and, in compliance with resolution number 143 of 29 March, approved by the municipal council with the aim of improving and reorganize urban mobility as well as spaces dedicated to parking, the Local Public Transport and Sustainable Mobility Sector announces the introduction of the new tariff.
The Administration’s objective is to promote and encourage the use of an infrastructure located in the heart of the historic centre, with 90 parking spaces, particularly strategic especially in view of the scheduled summer events.
