Death on Gela Caltanissetta. Giancarlo Collura loses his life

Gela – Giancarlo Collura, 50 years old, motorist from Mazzarino, who lived and worked in Caltanissetta, died instantly two evenings ago. He was traveling on the Gela – Caltanissetta, Ss 626, when his car collided with a 9-seater minivan with driver and passengers on board. Collura died instantly. The BMW Series 5 in which he was traveling was practically torn in two upon impact. Collura was traveling alone. The accident occurred shortly after 10.30pm. At least five people were injured on the bus, one of them seriously injured. Initially, rumors of two victims spread in the evening, which were later denied by the authorities. The exact dynamics of what happened is not yet clear. About ten emergency vehicles from the traffic police, firefighters, 118 rescue units and Anas operated on site throughout the night. A stretch of road was closed to traffic in both directions for several hours.

For some years Collura had moved to Caltanissetta, where, based on the little news that has filtered through, it seems he was dedicating himself to an organic production and breeding activity. He had never severed the bond with Mazarin, where he went almost daily to assist his elderly mother together with his brothers.
