Naples hosts from Thursday 16th to Friday 17th May the National eTwinning ITE Coordination, national meeting of representatives of the universities participating in the initiative “eTwinning for Future Teachers – Initial Teachers Education (ITE)”which sees the involvement of more 250 universities For introduce eTwinning teaching into initial teacher training.

eTwinning represents the largest European community of teachers active in collaborative projects between schools and is managed in Italy by the National eTwinning Unit, within the Erasmus+ INDIRE Agency. The meeting will be an important opportunity to exchange good practices, build new relationships, evaluate national strategies in order to broaden participation in the eTwinning world.

Due to its characteristics of flexibility, sustainability, openness to innovation and national and international comparison, eTwinning is particularly suitable for training of future teachers. In fact, these are called to work in multicultural contexts, use new technologies in teaching, support communication and learning in a foreign language, work on projects involving students in an active way. It is therefore essential to be able to develop learning paths that encourage the development of key skills And inclusion.

The event is organized by eTwinning Italy and will be held in the Sala degli Angeli of the Sister Orsola Benincasa University. Representatives of the over 30 Italian universities who participate in the project.

What is eTwinning
