The day of the pink caravan in Molise is tomorrow, May 15th, when there will be the 11th stage of the 107th Giro d’Italia. From Foiano Valfortore (province of Benevento) to Francavilla Al Mare (province of Chieti) passing through various locations in Molise including Termoli.
And here, where the tour will pass and then take – via the seafront – the road to Abruzzo, the Commander of the Local Police of Termoli Pietro Cappella, has sent the simplified plan relating to the road plan drawn up by the Command he directs.
Therefore tomorrow Wednesday there will be a parking ban with forced removal from 7 am to the end of the Giro (which will take place in the early afternoon) in: Via Corsica, Via Abruzzi, Via Dante, Piazza Garibaldi, Corso Mario Milano, Lungomare Nord Cristoforo Colombo, Via Vespucci.
And traffic will be suspended, from 12 pm until the end of the Giro, in the same streets – which are the ones that cyclists will travel through, namely: Via Corsica, Via Abruzzi, Via Dante, Piazza Garibaldi, Corso Mario Milano, Lungomare Nord Cristoforo Colombo , Via Vespucci.
“It should be noted that the internal road system in the center area will undergo alternative traffic directions necessary to allow for the fluidity of urban traffic”, again explained by the Local Police of Termoli.
The tour, as mentioned, will also pass through other Molise locations. Between these Casacalenda where the mayor informed her citizens with this infographic.
But the passage of cyclists, once they arrive in Termoli and along the seafront up to Via Vespucci, will affect an important artery, namely State Road 16. And then the Local Police of Montenero di Bisaccia wanted to inform that “starting from approximately 12:00, therefore, the main Adriatic road artery will be closed to traffic, to allow the passage of the pink caravan.
For this reason, anyone who reaches the Marina di Montenero di Bisaccia, San Salvo Marina, Termoli or Vasto will be able to follow the instructions provided by the Local Police of Montenero di Bisaccia”.
There will inevitably be some discomfort, but enthusiasm never lacks when it comes to the most famous Giro in Italy. And then all that remains is to wish everyone a happy Giro!
