Novara – Many messages from politicians and institutions, not to mention the fans (a few thousand to see the results on social media!) dedicated to the promotion of TR Azzurra Novara to Serie A1.
Mayor Alessandro Canelli writes: “Novara hockey returns to the A1 series with the victory of Azzurra hockey. Congratulations to the managers and athletes who, with commitment and sacrifices, managed to achieve this important result for the city.”
Regional councilor Matteo Marnati: “Azzurra Hockey Novara, with many sacrifices and humility over the last few seasons, has built step by step this ‘building’ called Serie A1 which has finally materialized in a clear and deserved manner, even with a day before the end of the championship!”
The municipal councilor for Sport, Ivan De Grandis: “Not even in the most beautiful of dreams: in the year of the World Cup Azzurra Hockey conquers the A1 and it is an extraordinary gift for our entire city and its sporting community, especially in a historic moment so significant in which Novara finally returns to the center of attention in the national and international sporting scene. With the Hockey World Cup starting in our city after 40 years, the promotion of the Azzurra takes on an even more special value, helping to create the perfect atmosphere for this global event. I would like to offer my heartfelt compliments to all the players, the technical staff, the managers and those loyal Azzurri fans who have always been there. This result is not only a sporting triumph, but also a source of pride for the entire Novara community, which has hockey in its DNA and which unites in celebrating this extraordinary achievement! The soon-to-be-illuminated Blue Dome could be a first beautiful tribute to this success.”
Personally, congratulations also came from the Police Commissioner of the Senate, Senator Gaetano Nastri, from the President of the Province Federico Binatti, from the Vice Mayor of Novara Marina Chiarelli, from the President of the Novara CONI Rosalba Fecchio and from numerous exponents of the Novara business world (and not only ) as evidence of how much this sport, roller hockey, is in the DNA of the area.
And now… it’s time to party: on Saturday 18th there will be an evening entirely dedicated to the Azzurra and its fans and supporters. Appointment at the Pala Dal Lago: at 8.45pm the match against Scandiano is scheduled and a loud shout will rise from the stands: “I’m from Novara… and I’m proud of it!”. The only obligation: ‘total blue’ clothing.
