3-star WR to officially visit Syracuse football as ‘Cuse in mix for 4-star receivers

Syracuse football, lately, has a lot of positive developments transpiring as it relates to its pursuit of nationally ranked prospects at the wide-receiver position within the 2025 class.

One piece of news centers on 2025 three-star wide receiver Isaiah Mizell from Florida setting an official visit to the Orange.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Mizell said in a post on his X page that he will officially visit Syracuse football from May 31 to June 2.

According to recruiting services, he holds more than a dozen scholarship offers from teams such as Minnesota, Kansas State, Arizona, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh and West Virginia, among others. He picked up an offer from the ‘Cuse on January 7 of this year.

Mizell is a standout at Boone High School in Orlando, Fla. He said on When I wrote this article, the industry-generated 247Sports Composite placed Mizell at No. 865 nationally within his class.

As I noted a few days ago, 2025 three-star wide receiver Gabe Daniels recently disclosed a top three of the ‘Cuse, NC State and Kansas.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Daniels, offered by the Orange on March 8 of this year, has set June official visits to both NC State and Kansas; I’ve been told he’s also eyeing a possible official visit to Syracuse football in the near future. Daniels attends the Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Ga.

In late April, 2025 four-star wide receiver Carl Jenkins Jr. of St. Augustine High School in St. Augustine, Fla., named a top six of the Orange, Illinois, UCF, USF, fellow ACC squad Louisville and Mississippi State. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Jenkins visited the ‘Cuse in mid-April.

Tyler Williams, a 2025 four-star athlete/wide receiver, will take an official visit to Syracuse football during the weekend of June 14 to June 16, he disclosed via his X page last month. The 6-foot-2,190-pound Williams, out of Sumner High School in Riverview, Fla., was offered by the Orange on January 20, 2024.

Also in April, Williams unveiled a top 13 of Syracuse football, Miami, Alabama, Georgia, UCF, Missouri, Auburn, Ole Miss, Florida, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Louisville and Texas A&M. On3, currently, ranks him at No. 211 overall, No. 27 at wide receiver and No. 26 in Florida within the 2025 class.

In a recent interview with 247Sports national analyst Tom Loy, Williams discussed several of his top contenders at this stage in his recruitment, including the ‘Cuse.

When I wrote this column on Sunday, the Orange had at least 19 verbal commitments in its 2025 cycle. These verbal pledges include a handful of prospects at wide receiver/tight end, such as three-star Darien Williams of the Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse, three-star Terrell Wilfong of West Orange High School in West Orange, NJ, three-star Julian McFadden of La Salle College High School in Wyndmoor, Pa., and three-star Daunte Bacheyie of the Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse.

This Syracuse football 2025 class, at the time of this writing, was No. 9 nationwide via the industry-generated 247Sports Composite and No. 6 from Rivals.com.
