Polesella (Rovigo), 11 May 2024 – La election campaign for the administrative ones they come to life in Polesella. In the morning the mayoral candidates and the respective lists were filed with the Municipality. There will be a new challenge between the outgoing mayor Leonardo Raito (Polesella Tomorrow list) e Emanuele Ferrarese (Polesella Viva list). The two candidates will face each other again after the 2019 elections.
In the list Polesella Tomorrow some confirmations but also new faces from the area. A list that presents itself after an experience mostly led by the outgoing mayor Leonardo Raito. In alphabetical order i candidate councillors they are Giulia Bonvento, Sonia Colombani, Alice Miari, Franco Modena, Consuelo Pavani, Consuelo Pistillo, Paolo Poletti, Massimo Ranzani, Franco Rosatti, Luca Sarto, Ilaria Tovo and Silvia Vignaroli.
Leonardo Raito45 years old, university professor and administrative employee at Spisal of Ulss5 Polesana, was elected for the first time mayor of Polesella in 2014, when he showed up in an electoral round where there was only one list present and managed to exceed the necessary quorum. Raito is president of the Polesine basin council and has been provincial councilor, Venetian vice-president of Local Authorities. A newspaper contributor, as a historian he is the author of over 100 scientific publications including volumes, essays and articles in magazines. Emanuele Ferrarese53 years old, originally and resident of Polesella, has a degree in architecture, owner of the architecture firm with whom he created many public and private works, already a contract professor at the faculty of architecture of the University of Ferrara in Urban Planning Techniques. He is married with children. He already boasts a long experience within the administration of Polesella municipal councilor for 10 years, of which 5 as leader of the minority group as candidate for mayor in 2019.
In his first speech the mayoral candidate Ferrarese goes on the attack: “For too long Polesella has not been managed as it deserves, with many promises and few facts – said the candidate -. For five years we have been committed, we have constantly monitored the administration’s work, we have expressed our doubts and our opposition, we have advanced many proposals to make Polesella a more welcoming town, Unfortunately, almost always finding opposition and obstructionism from the majority, we discussed and exchanged views, we shared our ideas with you and, no less importantly, we tried to always keep you informed”. In conclusion, Ferrarese adds: “We have always been open to dialogue, always ready to listen to your proposals and requests. It was an intense mandate, which also saw moments of very heated confrontation and discussion, but we never gave up. Our goal has been and always will be make Polesella that jewel of the Polesine that it deserves to become”.
