HISTORICAL EVENING. The Howafter the last day of the cadet regular season, officially joins Parma among the teams promoted to Serie A waiting for the playoffs. A historic evening for the Como club, which returns to the top category after 21 years. A sports page which was undoubtedly given impetus by the arrival of the very rich ownership attributable to the Indonesian group Djaruma multinational world leader in the tobacco industry, headed by brothers Michael and Robert Hartono.
INTERNATIONAL BREATH. The Hartonos placed some key characters, famous in international football, in the management of Como: a reality that until a few years ago was impossible to imagine, for a club that in its life has played just 14 Serie A championships since the introduction of the single group (1929-30). So here it is Cesc Fábregas on the bench (alongside the Welshman Osian Roberts as second for qualifying reasons), Dennis Wise (sole director) and an international corporate structure that has literally turned history upside down. For the Como team it is the second promotion in a few years, after winning Serie B in 2021. The mandatory adaptation of the Sinigaglia at the minimum capacity for Serie A (12,000 seats, compared to not even 8,000 currently), it certainly does not represent a problem. Como fans can, rightfully, dream big.
