The 2023-24 season of Cuneo Choreographic Interchanges, created by the Egri Foundation for Dance, offers the Cuneo public one last event dedicated to contemporary dance creation.

Saturday 11 May at 9pm will be staged at the Toselli Theatre “Written on my body”: production of EgriBiancoDanza Company, presents the public with a choral liturgy on interior experiences and the fragility of the human condition, permeated by a desire-need to create a dialogue with the public. The show was in fact born from an experiment, carried out during the experience of the restrictions and social distancing of the pandemic years, which saw dancers, spectators and choreographer interact in the creation of a “shared choreography” developed thanks to the interaction between choreutic creation and comments and experiences from the public. Worked by Raphael Bianco, the choreography features the original soundtrack by BowLand, a band of Iranian origin that combines elements of electronic music and trip hop, finalists of the 2018 edition of X-Factor.

The evening will also be an opportunity to inaugurate a project involving the Cuneo dance schools, launched by the Egri Foundation for Dance during the 2023/24 season. In fact, the choreography will be preceded by a short choreographic performance by the Cuneo dance school “La Maison de la Danse”, developed through meetings with the staff of the Egri Foundation for Dance during the schedule of Choreographic Interchanges: the intervention is the result of a pilot project which involved the Cuneo school and which will be expanded during the next dance season through an ad hoc call. This initiative, which is among the activities that the Foundation has carried out during the year to consolidate and expand its ties with the cultural and educational realities of the territory, intends to recognize an active role of dance schools, which have shown a strong interest and a constant presence during the current season, participating in the proposed shows together with various workshops.

Finally, the usual event is dedicated to the theme of audience engagement IPuntiDanza – Meetings with the Egri Foundationexpected on May 7th at 6.00 pm at the Rondò dei Talenti: the appointment, with free entry with reservations required, will be an opportunity to delve deeper into the creative processes underlying the work of the EgriBiancoDanza company, with a focus on the choreography that will be presented at the Toselli Theatre, all through a participatory exchange with the public .
