This afternoon, June 11th, around 4.00 pm, a multi-vehicle collision occurred in via Giovanni Falcone. Two cars stopped at the traffic light at the intersection with Via Val Demone were apparently hit by a truck. The driver of the lorry, for reasons still to be verified, would have hit a car which in turn was thrown against the vehicle in front. From initial information we learn that some people involved in the accident were injured.
In fact, the 118 health workers immediately intervened on site. Two Municipal Police patrols were also present and carried out investigations to establish the dynamics of the accident and the responsibilities. Traffic on the road section was diverted for a few hours. This latest accident occurred a few days after another accident that occurred on Sunday evening, again on state road 115, when two cars collided: a Rande Rover and a Dacia.
This stretch of road has been the scene of accidents several times, including serious ones, caused by high speed, failure to respect the right of way and even failure of the traffic lights to function.
