Flood and movable property, there is a decree on reimbursement of up to 6 thousand euros and Ravenna protests: “Ridiculous figure”

A “ridiculous” figure. The long-awaited decree arrived last night in Romagna to reimburse movable property damaged or destroyed by the flood. But the spirits of the Ravenna center-left do not calm down. In fact, as Budget Councilor Livia Molducci complained this afternoon in the City Council in response to a question time by Alessandra Folli of the Democratic Party, 210 million euros are allocated, in fact “an absolutely ridiculous figure for those who have suffered damages of even more than 50,000 euros”.

Last May 8, he reconstructs, the extraordinary commissioner Francesco Paolo Figliuolo announced an amendment to compensate movable property, “transformed” into a law decree on May 17 by the deputy minister of Infrastructure Galeazzo Bignami and quantified in a flat rate first at 5,000 and then at 6,000 euros. However, nothing concrete was achieved and on May 27th the postponement to after the elections was announced. As yesterday evening, continues the account holder of Palazzo Merlato, the government passed the decree and “for the first time the State is responsible for compensation for movable property” for a maximum amount of 6,000 euros. Refunds are in fact provided for residential properties and based on the number and type of vau: 3,200 for kitchens and 700 euros for other rooms, up to 6,000 euros. If the damage is greater, therefore, “no 100% refund as promised by the government”, says Molducci. There are several private individuals with damages exceeding 50,000 euros, less perhaps in Ravenna, but, the councilor invites, “think of Faenza and Forlì, it is not what the citizens expected”. Fortunately for the people of Ravenna, concludes Molducci, the donations were “larger than other cities” and are in addition to the state reimbursements.
