If, however, the team coached by Ranieri were to achieve a positive result, Lecce would have to look to the challenges of Empoli and Sassuolo: with a defeat of Empoli they could celebrate their second consecutive salvation in Serie A as early as 12.30pm on Sunday, while with a draw for the Tuscans we would also have to wait for Sassuolo’s failure to win at 3pm against Genoa. To tell the truth, it would be enough for the Giallorossi if the Neroverdi didn’t beat the Rossoblù, without necessarily hoping for Empoli’s failure to win against Lazio on Sunday at 12.30pm.
