The weather forecast for next weekend has changed: no more bad weather and heavy rain, an anticyclone is arriving that will keep us company between Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May.
The turning point, at a synoptic level, has actually been expected since the day of Friday 10 May when theAfrican anticyclone it will begin to pulsate more and more, stretching towards the Mediterranean basin.
From Saturday 11 May The The sun will shine brightly again on a large part of our regions, even if the risk of some will remain reverse on the Calabria and central-eastern Sicily due to the cyclonic vortex that has influenced the weather over the last week and which is now moving away towards Greece. As often happens in this season, these will probably be short-lived phenomena: in fact, after the rainy passage, the sun will prevail.
During Sunday 12 May (Mother’s Day) the high pressure area will gain even more space, giving prevailing stability to our country; only during the afternoon hoursthanks to the passage of cooler air currents at altitude, instability in mountainous areas will increase with the possibility of premises thunderstorms or short rainsespecially in the Alps.
But it will be above all those who will make the news temperatures, foreseen in the decision increase. On the northern plains and central regions, maximum temperatures of up to 24-25°C are expected (it may even reach temperatures 27°C in Bologna hey 30°C on the Southern Sardinia) as shown in the map below.
