BRINDISI – On Saturday 11 May in Brindisi and Sunday 12 May in Ostuni, stages of Radio Norba’s “Road to Battiti” caravan, the Brindisi Local Health Authority will be present during the event with a mobile camper-clinic to provide information on prevention of human papilloma virus (HPV) infection, on vaccinations and screening programs aimed at the young population.
Various professional figures from the Prevention Department and the Family Counseling Center will be available to boys and girls who will participate in the musical event to provide information and resolve any doubts on issues particularly close to them.
On board the camper it will also be possible to carry out the anti-HPV vaccination free of charge for the foreseen categories: girls and boys aged 11 and over, women born since 1989 and men born since 1996 who have not received or completed the vaccination cycle, subjects at risk for certain conditions or behaviors, women treated for high-grade lesions (CIN2+).
The director of the Prevention Department, Stefano Termite, underlines “the importance of vaccination against the papilloma virus, responsible for one of the most frequent sexually transmitted infections and the onset of numerous tumors. Parents are therefore invited not to miss the event, accompanying minors to get vaccinated or request information from our staff”.
Then meet in Brindisi on Saturday 11 May, from 6pm to 11pm, on the Lungomare Regina Margherita just before the Virgilio staircase, and in Ostuni on Sunday 12 May, again from 6pm to 11pm, in Piazza della Libertà near the Antelmi staircase.
