Smartphones, drugs and ropes seized in Foggia prison

Salandra “change of pace on legality and safety”

Two smartphones and 22 grams of hashish inside the cells and 6 rudimentary ropes on a roof were found in the Foggia prison in the last few hours thanks to an extraordinary search carried out by the prison police, who intervened together with the Avellino dog units. This was reported in a press release from parliamentarian Giandonato La Salandra (FdI), member of the justice commission in the Chamber of Deputies. There were 366 inmates checked, of which 6 were reported to the prosecutor’s office during the operation which involved both the new complex and the old judicial complex of the prison. “Once again the Meloni government shows enormous attention to the issues of legality and safety, as has not been seen for some time, and absolute concreteness in implementation. A real change of pace, as undersecretary Delmastro had guaranteed during his institutional visit to the Foggia institute on 16 October”, underlines La Salandra.
