Maldini’s words on his role as manager: “Only Milan or the national team in the future? A rule that applies above all to Italy. I can’t do it, I wouldn’t be able to see myself at a club other than Milan. I’ve never said no to anyone. I’ve been twice or three times by Nasser Al-Khelaifi at PSG before Milan but it didn’t go well and thinking about it today it was lucky. My first 10 months as manager at Milan were learning, I felt inadequate. I couldn’t determine something. Leonardo laughed because you told him every day it was lucky for me.”
