TERNI – A 66-year-old motorcyclist from Terni lost his life in an accident which occurred in the afternoon along the Valnerina, between Torre Orsina and Arrone.
The victim was riding his Yamaha which, for reasons still under investigation, crashed into one Fiat Panda conducted by a seventy-year-old from Terni. The woman, who was stuck between the sheets of the small car, was extracted by firefighters and taken to hospital with various injuries.
Another centaur riding a Suzuki was also injured.
Unfortunately for the 66-year-old the help was in vain.
Both the victim and his injured friend had taken part in a motorbike trip and were returning to the city when the tragedy occurred which cost the life of the centaur, well known in Terni.
The causes of the accident are being examined by the local police who, to carry out investigations, closed the Valnerina.
