Barletta, feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the parish of Sant’Andrea

The most evocative moment is that of climbing the splendid staircase of the Parish of Sant’Andrea, where the effigy of the Sacred Heart of Jesus resides throughout the year with the launch of the red balloons that remember how many have been with love close to us in recent years to the divine heart of Christ and which are no longer there. It is not just the celebration of a community, but of an entire neighborhood, that of Santa Maria a Barletta, which this year celebrates 40 years since the first procession of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a devotion desired by the late Don Gino Spadaro at the beginning of his parish in the 80s.
Don Vito Carpentiere’s Eucharistic celebration preceded the procession through the main streets of the Santa Maria district. The Sacred Heart of Jesus also blessed the Prefecture, making the passage from the Co-Cathedral Basilica and the return to the Parish exciting. Furthermore, this year the Church awaits the document of the Holy Father Francis on the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
