ANCONA – Meeting place and panoramic point par excellence: the Passetto lakes, which has always been in the heart of the Ancona people, are aiming to write a new page in the history of the regional capital. Identified as a strategic location by the Municipal Administration, the suggestive green area will become a point of interest for citizens and tourists. To confirm the investment desired by the Department of Youth Policies and the Night Economy led by Marco Battino, the rich calendar of events was presented today at a press conference. «Between the food and wine offer with the food truck, evenings of music and dance near the swimming pool and the national ‘three against three’ basketball tournament in the skating area – comments the Councilor for Nighttime Economy and Youth Policies Marco Battino – the Municipal Administration intends to relaunch one of the most evocative places in the city by proposing an offer capable of meeting all age groups”.
Calendar of events at the Portonovo lakes including dances and music
The summer musical evenings will start on Friday 21 June at the suggestive location of the Passetto lakes, on the suitable dance floors. The calendar of events, which runs throughout the month of July every Friday and Saturday, was presented this morning at a press conference by the Councilor for Night Economy Marco Battino. The first hat-trick weekend between Friday and Sunday: the band ‘If play 80’s’ will perform on Friday 21 June, the great-grandchildren will perform on Saturday 22 June and Charlie Rock on Sunday 23 June. Saturday 29 June Dust – Just for Fun (Andrea Dust Polverini). Two more boogie-style evenings for the ‘Charlie rock’ band, which will perform on Friday 28 June and Friday 26 July. Friday 12 July Alessandra Gallicchio trio, Saturday 13 July Latin Rhythm and Saturday 20 July Veronica Key and finally Saturday 27 July Tanamadana Band.
With Silverback comes the national basketball tournament
The ‘Laghetti Fest’ event will bring together almost 300 athletes from 9 to 13 July with the national ‘three against three’ basketball tournament (known as streetball), officially recognized as an Olympic discipline since 2020. There will be four tournaments proposed by ASD Silverback, all recognized nationally by the FIP (Italian Basketball Federation): three for the unders and one for the seniors, considered among the most important and historic events on the peninsula. The last matches will be interspersed with shows and entertainment by emerging singers, dance troupes and many other shows contained in commercials between one match and another. Food truck by Elis Marchetti
There will also be space for food and wine thanks to the Elis Marchetti food truck: present at the press conference for the occasion, also the chef who, starting from mid-July, with his food truck operating from 4.30pm to 11.30pm, will guarantee delicacies of the territory, thanks to the search for balance between tradition and innovation. The kiosk will remain operational until September and will meet pre-established temporary requirements, adapting to the environmental and landscape context.
Conero Park
Partner of the project for the redevelopment of the Passetto Lakes is the Conero Park Authority, for which President Luigi Conte spoke at a press conference: “It is very important that the Municipal Administration of Ancona valorises this area which constitutes the border between north of the Conero Park. In the last two editions of the Park Festival we have included in our calendar some meetings in this area dedicated to the enhancement of biodiversity of which the Conero Park is a precious treasure chest that must be known and protected. For this reason, through training and information initiatives dedicated especially to young people, we provide good practices on the life habits of all the fauna that lives in the Park, starting from the herpetofauna, avifauna and large mammals. Public events and meeting opportunities are therefore welcome with the hope that there will be particular attention not to waste waste and to respect the animal and plant species that live in the nearby limestone cliff”.
Youth basketball with CAB Stamura until September
Sports introductory activities will be offered by the historic Ancona basketball club CAB Stamura every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, from approximately 6pm to 8pm, from 22nd June to 30th June and from 20th July until the end of September. The federal CAB technicians will be available to budding basketball players from 5 to 10 years old. Mixed teams will be able to play inside the ice rink, partially used as a basketball court with movable baskets.
