Maria Serena Salvemini, aka Molly, a very young violinist from Molfetta can boast of an important curriculum on her shoulders, carrying the name of Molfetta high despite her tender age. Molly was the winner of the Siae international call -For those who create – she will perform in a tour of 14 concerts in Europe during the entire year 2024.

“I started to approach the violin thanks to my mother, Daniela Carabellese, who passed on to me the love for music and the violin – says Molly – I started performing very early, at the age of three and at four I won the first music competition”.

At the invitation of the Maestro Beppe Vessicchio, following a national selection, she took part in the program “Prodigi”, broadcast in prime time on RAI 1, playing as a soloist with orchestra and winner of numerous scholarships, concluding her studies at the N. Piccinni conservatory of Bari with 110/110 cum laude and honorable mention. It would seem impossible to manage both the school but also the tour in Europe, which began very well at the Berlin Philharmonie and then continued to Belgrade, London, Rijeka, Lugano, Corfu, Brussels, Krakow, yet as Molly tells us “with a very disciplined organization I can manage all my commitments and even go out with friends.”

There are many projects for the future but certainly the first is to study hard to improve ourselves more and more.

The violinist from Molfetta released her first solo CD in January 2020. In the 2021 and 2022 seasons, she was invited by the prestigious Society of Concerts of La Spezia, to hold four recitals for the Paganini Music Festival, in Liguria in the lands of Paganini while in November 2021, she received the international award Gold Medal Maison des Artistes for “his commendable artistic professionalism as a violinist”. The award was presented to her in a gala ceremony in the great hall of La Sapienza University of Rome.
