Serious fire yesterday evening in an industrial warehouse used as a logistics warehouse in the Municipality of Aprilia. Several teams of firefighters and law enforcement were on site.
The fire
At 10.35pm yesterday 4 May the Fire Brigade intervened in the Municipality of Aprilia following reports received by NUE112 of a fire. When the Aprilia territorial team arrived on site, an industrial warehouse, used as a logistics warehouse, made of concrete of approximately 1300 m2 and flanked, on one side only, by a metal roof of approximately 400 m2, was completely engulfed in flames. Near the structure there were some vehicles that were also hit by the fire. The firefighters attacked the fire from several points with two teams, Central and Aprilia, and a third team from Pomezia. Also in support were three tankers from Civil Protection volunteers. The entire arrangement was coordinated by the Latina guard responsibility unit who intervened on site together with the provincial shift manager. The firefighting operations continued throughout the night. Around 2am on 04/05/24 the fire was declared under control and confined to the center of the structure. From 8am this morning, minute extinguishing operations and making the area affected by the flames safe began. The Carabinieri of Aprilia, Local Police and 118 are also on site for their expertise.
