Blue Atlantis Avis Ravenna communicates the athlete’s call-up to the National Youth Finswimming Team Matteo Guerrini, born in 2008, who will participate, with the colors of Italy, from 25 June to 1 July, in the European Youth Indoor Championship in the city of Klaipeda, Lithuania. Matteo, already a prominent young athlete in national finswimming, with several titles under his belt, is now in his 1st year in the 3rd category, and is therefore among the youngest Italians called up.
Trained by Coach Bruno Vandini, supported by Technical Director Marta Gianola (both already Italian finswimmers)

Matteo has demonstrated “his excellent potential and is reaching a sporting maturity which bodes well for his future career in the fastest and most spectacular swimming discipline: swimming with a monofin”. Before him, his sister, Martina Guerrini, was an Italian, coming eighth at the 2019 Junior World Championships.

The communication of the squad was made official on Sunday 5 May 2024, at the end of the National Criterium, where Matteo Guerrini, together with Matteo Salvatori and Sebastiano Fabbri, held high the flag of Ravenna sport and Blu Atlantis Avis Ravenna. Blu Atlantis Avis Ravenna will host, on the morning of Sunday 12 May, in the waters of the Standiana basin, on the Port side, the 1st round of the Italian Cross Country Cup. The athletes of the home team will open the dance to the open water season, with the fierce Master faction that will try to defend the Italian Title won in the previous season. Entrance is free.
