Palermo-Ascoli, the precedents: last year the Bianconeri won at the 'Barbera'

Today’s one between Palermo And Ascoli it will be the 18th challenge in history on Sicilian soil. In fact, the two teams have faced each other at the “Renzo Barbera” on 17 occasions, and the outcome is favorable for the Rosanero who have achieved full spoils 9 times, compared to six draws and two successes for the Bianconeri.

The last match dates back to last year’s Serie B championship and the Bianconeri won 3-2 with a hat-trick from Gondo, while Brunori and Segre had closed the gap for the pinks.

In the 2018/19 Serie B championship, Palermo won 3-0 with an own goal from Perucchini and goals from Chochev and Szyminski.

The last draw, 1-1, dates back to the 2005/06 Serie A championship: the Rosanero took the lead with Caracciolo and the Juventus goal scored by Foggia.
