A long list of building abuses, indications relating to surfaces, maps, requests and denials, at the end of an equally long ordinance issued by the Municipality of Latin the order to demolish the illegal structures located in the sports center in Strada Pane e Vino. It all starts from the intervention of the Nipaf forestry police of the capital who carried out an inspection in the sports center of Borgo Montello, on the border with the Municipality of Aprilia, and raised a long series of irregularities from the point of view of building compliance.

The checks reveal a 130 square meter shed used as a gym behind which there is another structure divided into four rooms, two intended for changing rooms, a storage room and a shed open on two sides. These properties, for which an application for amnesty has been submitted, are regularly registered with the Land Agency and appear to have been built with a prefabricated structure resting on a concrete base. These structures are accessed, obviously from the road, through a driveway which is however not authorised.

The document then lists a series of artefacts: a wooden artefact used as a 33m2 house with adjoining shed, a prefabricated container used for storage, a wooden artefact used as a technical room, and on the remaining open area two five-a-side football pitches with grass synthetic that cover a total fenced area of ​​approximately 2,000 square metres. And again: a canopy with a prefabricated metal staircase of almost 9 metres. With respect to these properties, it is specified, a search was carried out in the Municipality archives and it appears that the necessary building permit has not been issued. Not only that, there is also no authorization to discharge waste water.

The list continues by mentioning a wooden shed used as a bar and restaurant and a warehouse, another building with a shed which appears to be completely illegal and is included in the amnesty application. Then there is a square and a whole series of small and slightly more significant buildings used as garages and warehouses for which building permits do not appear to have been issued. Near the shed where the gym is located there is also a paddle court complete with lighting system.

But what does the Municipality’s demolition ordinance say? He says that the fitness center must be practically demolished, we are in fact faced with a denial of the amnesty request, the works are subject to a building permit and the body’s documents do not show that the required qualification has been issued, also because the area falls within zone H, in short, in a rural area. The anti-illegal activity office in Piazza del Popolo, “having ascertained the execution of interventions in the absence of a permit, in total divergence from the same, or with essential variations” orders the demolition of the property. If the owners of the sports center do not demolish and restore the condition of the places within three months, exactly within 90 days of the injunction, the Municipality will take action in damages.
