Everything is ready for the 57th edition of the Porto Circuit, an international cycling race reserved for the Elite and Under-23 categories which will be staged on Sunday in Cremona in the Porto Canale and Viale Po area. It is organized by the Cremonese Cycling Club 1891 ASD. It has always been an event of great interest, particularly awaited for the challenge between the best world teams in the category. It is a source of pride not only for our cycling but also for the regional, national and international one, as they underlined at the presentation in the Consulta Hall of the Palazzo Comunale. All preliminary operations will be held in the morning at the Colonie Padane Park where the presentation of the teams will also take place. Then, at 1.20 pm the long caravan will move to Viale Po, where the race will officially start. The circuit is the traditional one of 12.850 to be repeated 14 times. The arrival on Viale Po at the bridge over the Morbasco will take place between 5pm and 5.30pm. The race director, Antonio Pegoiani, who will avail himself of the support of Pierluigi De Vitis, underlined that an attempt was made to favor quality over the technical characteristics of the race, taking into consideration the visibility of the teams in strong evidence at this start of season. 31 teams registered, of which 10 foreign, one Professional and 13 Continental. There will also be representation from Rwanda. The president of the Cremonese 1891 Cycling Club Rossano Grazioli hopes that the success of a representative of his Arvedi Cycling Team will be repeated, as happened last year when Mattia Pinazzi won. It goes without saying that there will be plenty of spectacle, particularly in the last 2-3 laps when the teams favored for success will bring the top athletes to the top positions.
