MODICA – 2 thieves were caught who had been operating in a grocery store, also stealing bags and objects left in cars parked in central Modica. In the first case, following the timely report of the business owner and the immediate viewing of the images of the cameras present near the targeted business, the police traced the perpetrator of the burglary which had occurred a few evenings before and which had yielded a loot of a few hundred euros.
A second person was reported to the prosecutor’s office as he was responsible for 2 thefts with dexterity. The subject, stationed near the parked cars, waited for a moment of distraction from the owners who had not locked the car and, with extreme speed, removed what was inside it. The thief, a 27-year-old foreigner, resident in Modica, with numerous precedents for crimes against property, was reported, while part of the stolen goods were found and delivered to the rightful owner.
