Sexist insults via Instagram to a female referee and exemplary punishment with 10 days of disqualification. A young football player from the Under 15 regional team of Vazzolain the Treviso area, was hit with a very harsh measure following the match that the yellow-greens played on the pitch last April 28th of Union QdP, in group D and ended with a result of 3-3.
The messages
The race director Giorgia Visentinbelonging to the Aia section of Treviso, reported having received on his personal Instagram profile, after the end of the match, a series of relatable sexist messages to a Vazzola player, recognized thanks to the photo on his profile. In this regard, Sports Justice has precise regulations and legislation, which they catalogue any illicit conduct unequivocally of the member: «All conduct which, directly or indirectly, causes offence, constitutes discriminatory behaviour, as stated in the Sports Justice Code. denigration or insult on grounds of racecolour, religion, language, sex, nationality, origin, including ethnic origin, personal or social condition or constitutes ideological propaganda prohibited by law or in any case praising discriminatory behaviour”.
Exemplary punishment
In these cases it comes an exemplary punishment was imposed of ten days, with the clear intention of inducing those who are guilty of behavior of this type to never do it again. The sanction in question is triggered automatically even in the most common cases of expressions of racial discrimination. Vazzola’s reaction was very harsh and, through its president Roberto Castagner, he stigmatized the boy’s conductsuspending him from competitive activity: «We strongly dissociate ourselves from the behavior of our member, the boy born in 2010 was suspended from activity. We offer our apologies to the race director, even if the club is not at fault. If you want to come to Vazzola we have prepared a bouquet of flowers for you.”

The episode is just the latest in a long seriesgiven that it is not the first time that a member has been disqualified after insulting a referee on social networks. The progress of last December was disturbing, when the father of a player basketball player was identified by the police after shouting at a 17-year-old female referee «you have to end up like the one in Vigonovo», with reference to the femicide of Giulia Cecchettin. The man was subsequently hit by a Daspo provision for five years.
