BRESCIA (ITALPRESS) – The agents of the Traffic Police and the Provincial Police of Brescia and the soldiers of the Economic-Financial Police Unit have implemented precautionary measures against four people, investigated for having set up a criminal association aimed at obtain type B driving licenses and driver qualification cards for professional driving of heavy goods vehicles for others. The investigation, during which the Guardia di Finanza carried out targeted economic and financial investigations against the owner of four driving schools with the seizure of over 1 million euros due to disproportion, made it possible to file charges against a suspect and his supporters, the crime of criminal association, corruption, incitement to corruption and numerous forgery of public documents.
The special crime of taking driving tests through suggestion systems was also contested, as well as allegations of extortion on candidates. The so-called “telephone operator”, a remote prompter for exams, has been identified among the first cases in Italy. More than 60 people are involved in the investigation. Further investigative investigations are underway, with the analysis by investigators of over 2,000 licenses (type ABCC.QC) obtained in the Brescia area by individuals from the entire national territory. Searches are also underway, also conducted with the technical-operational support of the Central Organized Crime Investigation Service with the use of modern technological instruments and two “cash dog” canine units of the Financial Police to search for cash.
