On May 1st the inauguration of the Villachiaviche charity house. Thus the president of the “San Giuseppe” Association, Paolo Baldisserri during the inauguration at 5 pm, under heavy rain: “I would like to thank his Excellency Monsignor Douglas Rigattieri and our Mayor Enzo Lattuca for their presence. Our community has welcomed you sent to you for the third consecutive time in the space of three years, again on May 1st, the inauguration of the Community house (2023); of Charity and Hospitality”.
“The San Giuseppe association collects the legacy of our first parish priest Don Marino Budelacci. An economic legacy and a legacy of ideals: a life spent for the good of the people of our community and our country”.
With the renovation work on the property in via Mazzolari, the Association has made available a welcoming and beautiful space for carrying out the activities of the senior center, with a large and welcoming room equipped with health services suited to the needs of the elderly and disabled. Since April, the senior center has also started to operate on Fridays. The new environments have not only proven useful for the Association’s activities, but rather have represented an important social asset at the service of our local community and, more generally, of our territory. In this year, in fact, the spaces of the Community House in via Mazzolari were also used to carry out multiple social and educational activities for groups of university students, high school students and local family groups. Also other subjects and bodies of the Municipality of Cesena, among which, by way of example only, there are Associazione Famiglie per l’Accoglienza for mutual help activities for groups of families who foster and adopt; Asp Cesena Valle Savio District for a help and sharing course entitled “Together we are a wonder” for foster families: The course is conducted by Marilena Marzolla together with social service workers in the minors, families and marginalization area, the meetings will take place from March 2024 in December 2024″.
“This house is made up of two apartments and today we inaugurate it as a house of hospitality and charity. What we care about is attention to the person, the person understood as a subject in “relationship”, attention to the person and to all his needs, not just the material ones. A way to help those we meet to experience hope for their lives. In our small way we are making our contribution to a beautiful and welcoming society.
