State police personnel from the Udine police station arrested a 37-year-old Pakistani citizen, of no fixed address, for illicit detention for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances.

During targeted territorial control services in the areas surrounding the railway station, aimed at preventing and repressing drug dealing and consumption, in via Parini, the officers noticed a foreign citizen, already known for specific crimes, getting into a car in stop and give a small package, for the equivalent of a banknote, to the driver.

The police managed to stop the buyer and, despite his attempted escape, also the seller, who was later identified as a Pakistani citizen, who was also banned from returning to the municipality of Udine.

The subsequent search against him revealed 10 wraps of cocaine ready to be sold in a trouser pocket (for a total weight of 6 grams), a piece of hashish, identical to the one just sold, and the sum of 725 EUR.

The foreigner was arrested for the illicit detention for the purpose of dealing drugs, which was seized together with the money, probable proceeds of other sales, given that the man was devoid of any lawful source of income or support, and referred to the Authority Judicial also for failure to comply with the return ban.

When validating the arrest, the investigating judge ordered, given the need to prevent the repetition of the crime, the measure of precautionary custody at the local prison.
