Perfume case, Fassino will soon be heard by the magistrates of the Civitavecchia prosecutor’s office

Soon Piero Fassino could be heard by prosecutors investigating the “perfume” affair. It is likely that the magistrates will quickly conclude the checks on the episode that occurred on April 15th at the duty free of Terminal 1 when the Democratic MP stole a Chance bottle (Chanel) worth 130 euros. Evidence of shoplifting is collected in an information of airport police officers (Polaria).

A report which includes six testimonies from as many store employees. They all converge in indicating the former minister as responsible for the theft and as a regular at the store. Fassino, those employees say, would have attempted twice more to steal perfumes from the shop. An element that will most likely not be overlooked by the Civitavecchia prosecutors and which, on the contrary, could represent a key element of the accusation: recidivism.

The dem deputy would have ventured among the shelves of essences for the first time in recent weeks while waiting for a flight to Strasbourg taking away a small bottle. Stopped by security, he paid for the package. Then a second time during which the security and the management of the company that manages the duty free had preferred to let it go. Only the third time, on April 15, did he incur the complaint. It must be said, however, that in the future the company that manages the duty free could always withdraw the complaint. Especially considering the fact that Fassino has always expressed his willingness to pay for what he defined as a “misunderstanding”.
